Carillons

A carillon consists of 23 or more bells. It differs from a chime in that it has a much greater musical range. A carillon comprises at least two octaves of tuned bells and includes nearly all of the semitones within the compass. The carillon is normally played from a keyboard console having wooden keys and pedals directly linked to the bell clappers to permit full musical expression.
